These two get confused constantly, and understanding the difference can save you from booking the wrong one.
Regular airport pickup / drop-off This is transportation. A driver waits outside the terminal (or at arrivals) with a car, picks you up, and drives you to your destination. It solves the “how do I get from the airport to home” problem — nothing that happens inside the terminal is covered.
Meet and greet This is a person, not a car. A trained assistant meets you inside the terminal — after immigration on arrival, or at the kerb for departure — and helps you through the airport process itself: baggage, customs, check-in, security. It solves the “I don’t know where to go or what to do” problem.
When you need both Most families booking for an elderly parent or first-time traveller combine the two: a meet and greet assistant handles the terminal, and a driver handles the road. This is essentially how our Gold and Platinum packages work — assistance from arrival immigration through to your car, or from departure drop-off through to the boarding bridge.
When you only need pickup If the traveller is experienced, comfortable navigating HSIA alone, and just needs a reliable ride, our Airport Pickup & Drop-Off service alone is the more economical choice.
Quick way to decide: if you’re worried about what happens before your relative reaches the car, you need meet and greet. If you’re only worried about getting to the car, pickup and drop-off is enough.
